I really dislike fundies. I do. I really do. I needed to look up the lyrics, sadly, to write this.
With my own faith up in a flash
I mistakenly went for Mass
at the fundy town of Churchville, population bloody big,
It seemed a nice old town for many
in the shadow of a doubt
but too much of Bible bashing
is what its folks were about
Buried under blasted Chick Tracts
I continued on my fight
'cause 96 ignorant fundies
went at me with all their might
it always seems they think their right
but their hypocrisy's not light
methinks these modern day Pharisees
have their heads screwed on too tight
The hicks surround me and now I think,
"all I wanted to do is just go to Sunday church"
wanna just KO them all in a blink,
yet that ain't too Christian; I just wanna go to church
I'm not a Gnostic, I'm Protestant
wish you would stop treating me like an athiest,
faith is nice, but they've all gone too far,
I just cannot take it (take it take it take it...)....
