The Lyrics

You're easy to see from my SUV
Got your school route down - I'm always around
When I catch your eye
And your eyes see mine
I know that soon everything'll be fine
Your cheerleading gown of blue and white
Is all I can think of in bed at night
At every home game
I'm up in the stands
Imagining you and me holding hands
Cross off the days gone by
Seventeen - Seventeen

I can't get your face
Out of my mind
And it don't hurt that
Your good from behind
I love you completely
One hundred percent
Just waiting until you're the age of consent

I'd treat you so good
We'd never be sad
With you tied up in the basement of my parent's pad
Watching the days roll by
Going to be so very good to you
Unless you say no, and then your life is through
I know you will be my trophy wife
Saying "I do" at the tip of a knife
Seventeen - Seventeen
Hoping the days fly by
Seventeen
Wishing the days away

Seventeen - Seventeen
Seventeen - Seventeen

It feels sort of wrong
To fall for a minor
That I watch in a telescope on my recliner
My shrink tells me that
My childhood's repressed
But that's just fine
I knew I was obsessed
Count down the days gone by
Could've gone statutory on you
Seventeen - Seventeen
Seventeen - Seventeen

535, well wrote, but I was alittle surprised by the second verse, it created a very dark scenario, still very good job.

Hey, a lot of comedy songs provide lighthearted looks into "dark scenarios" such as this. I can just imagine a guitar-playing comedian singing this on a Comedy Central stand-up show.

It kinda made me alittle uncomfortable, maybe I should have gave him a 4 instead of a 3 in funny.
