The Lyrics

Why in the world did hockey give itself a lockout? I just don't know.
Why did I, say goodbye, to my Thrashers?
The good times that made us chant and made us cheer
I know next year will be forever, but forever's gone away
Why did hoc-key say goodbye on lockout days?

I don't know where'd it go, and who struck deals
All I know is the commish who put this in, mm-hmm
If I see that game tomorrow, I know it's worth the wait
But why did hoc-key say goodbye on lockout days?

And I'll just drive around a zamboni
If one team shows up out on game days
Just why did hoc-key say goodbye on lockout days?

DKTOS but do you wanna know the real mindbender here: The players are on strike because they wanna get paid better/more. But in order to stay in shape during the lockout they play in Europe for almost peanuts. :-/
