The finale in the Wonka series. See elsewhere on site for "Augustus G.", "Violet B.", "Veruca S." and "Mike T."
In my extended family my life ain't funny
Suffer hunger pains we have barely any money
My grandpas and grandmas almost like vegetables
I, poor schnook, can't afford no candy bars
Grandpa Joe pulled out his thin bankroll
Oh great, gave me a dollar, cut back on his Skoal
Maybe things will turn out better for me
Like the way Mr. Wonka's got his factory
Someone's been sayin'--it's insane!--
There's Golden Tix about
Gives me migraines and my heart is so hurt
Now walkin' down the street, a reprieve!
I just found another dollar now, almost hard to believe
To Candy Place, it's a shot in the dark
Ripping off the wrapper, hoping for a golden spark

...WHOA!! ...TICKET!!...

I....was so miserable....
I'm a Bucket baby, but just call me Charlie!
(It was such a long shot!)
I'm....not so miserable!...
Golden Ticket baby! Grandpa, come and join me!

Wonka seems evil, it's a dada nightmare
But with the others entered into his chamber
Then in the Chocolate Room we almost hit a snag
Gloop up the pole, so we didn't have to drag
So then Violet chews that mealtime gum lob
She be-comes a blueberry, she'll pop
Veruca's brains went on a spin
Went nuts for the squirrels who then threw her in the garbage bin
For Mike Tevee, it was much to late
Don't be rash with TV, or your body might dilate
And my problem was with old Gramps, flying up a windpipe
---Get chopped up into splinters?!

Ohh.....I'm so in danger!
I'm a Bucket baby, that fan's gonna kill me!
(Tried Fizzy Lifting Drinks!)
Ohh...I'm so in danger!
I'm a Bucket baby, that fan's gonna kill me!
(Saved by belly burps!)

...We floated back down...

(oompa...loompa...dippitty doo...)

(On the 'vator, I'm the winner...Running through the roof, gonna crash it!!)

Soooo....I am sad no more!
I'm a Bucket baby, but just call me Charlie
(I can't believe it!)
Ride...el-eh-vator!! I'm the winner, baby, so you must admire me!

I....will hunger no more!
I'm a Bucket baby, but just call me Charlie!
(ChocoMellowCrunch, baby!)
I...am sad no more!
I'm a Bucket baby, but just call me Charlie
(You know what I'm eatin'...)

SOTM: HILARIOUS!! Would have been better if talking about the original Wonka, not the new Johnny Depp crap, but still, very nice 555!!

I agree with Abbott this was great but was even great was pretty much anything that Gene Wilder was in "Blazing Saddles", the original "Willie Wonka And The Chocolate Factory", "Young Frankenstein" all classics. Johnny Depp's greatest role is still a creepy emo guy with scissors for hands and a drunken pirate based on a Disney Ride.

Parodies about chocolate, or on a tangent to chocolate, always go down well with those of us that are nuts, and I don't mean hazel...

(SOTM) Good grief, I was expecting a Charlie Brown parody. Fortunately, I got treated to chocolate, Gene Wilder, and Johnny Depp. I loved the alternate choruses, and I think you nailed the subject, even though I'm not entirely familiar with the storyline. 555

(SOTM) I'm a great fan of the original book, though I only know the chorus of the OS (it was in a Weird Al polka). Nice condesing of the first film's plot (though it's really only the Fizzy Lifting Drinks bit that pegs it as such) from one character's perspective into [insert however long the OS is]. 555!

SOTM...so...basically this was my VERY favorite book as a child...I don't even know how many times I read it. Love love loved it. And this parody is great, Agri. I assume you're following the book, anyway, as you have violet being taken by squirrels instead of golden egg laying geese, which are featured in the original film. =) THAT being said...I have to point out that Charlie and his Grandpa never stole fizzy lifting drinks in the book. Yes...yes...I AM that anal. =)

My brattiness aside, I did enjoy this, Agri...as I said, great subject matter, and very well written. Loved it!

(SOTM) Great job with a tough OS. I can tell a lot of work went into this! It's hard to do a plot-based parody to a song with such tricky pacing, so great job pulling that off.

Bet I wasn't the only one expecting a Charlie Brown parody (especially to "Loser").. but well done for not using the obvious rhyme for "bucket" ;-)

SOTM: Very well done...I haven't read the book (seriously), but I enjoyed the parody! Some great lines, and conveyed the story well.

A fine recap of a classic. Mr. Dahl would be proud.
And, a pretty "out-of-the-box" matching of subject and OS...Great job !

(SOTM) I can't believe I hadn't commented already, I enjoyed this, I was expecting Charlie B from the chocolate factory--but maybe that's because I've seen the flippin movie too many times. Good job Agri, sorry I didn't comment when I first read it.
