Rob, I don't know if they have these up in Cali, but down in my neck of the woods, there's a pretty decent convinience store called Jack's. they're great for if you want a cold drink. (they have diet pepsi in the soda fountain, and these great ICEE-type beverages called Jack Frosts!) unfortunately, they don't seem to have the hot nachos or other snack bar-styled treats, but they DO have a wide variety of candies, chips, sodas, and even a f'real milkshake machine! (which I have yet to try.) I occasionallly grab a Moon Pie when I'm there! 455
I usually go to an ethnic convenience store in my neighborhood. The family has a deli counter inside and also sells sports paraphernalia, knives, jewelry, and other weird items. Their lunch combos are just $5 hot or cold and you can barter on other things. You can't barter at 7-11, AM-PM, and all the gas stations that have stores in them or which are combined with Burger Kings or other fast food restaurants!
