*BLAT is Vegan substitute for BLT. It stands for vegan Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, and Tomato. Vegan bacon (aka fakon) consists of bacon substitutes like coconut "meat" or seitan- gross!

^ nope especially seeing as I don't really like avocado (unless it's in guacomole!) :)
Jon, I make a great 9 layer party dip. I too don't like avocados, but will use an avocado dip plus a few TBS of mayo to make a layer. I use a cake platter because it gets heaping by layer 9: vegetarian refried beans as base (30 oz), then 3 TBS mayo mixed with avocado dip (non-packet type) spread evenly, add green chilis and spread them out (4 oz can), add pitted olives to fill in gaps (3.25 oz can), add 1 large tomato diced, add 1diced medium sized onion (any color), sour cream spread evenly (16 oz) Monterey Jack cheese shredded to cover (1 package), Cheddar cheese shredded to top off (1 package). Cover with foil, put in refrigerator to solidify. Serves 4-6. Great with chips and sodas.
