In the 1997 animated movie of "Anastasia," the title character has survived the Russian Revolution (inaccurate by true historical standards) and goes out in search of the home she had, the family with whom she used to live, and any remnants of her royal status. This is a parody about just finding a job after graduating from college, not about her aforementioned search as was already indicated in the original song.
Gazing, y'all, upon my life as a student,
With a bachelor's degree,

Thus, I'm looking for some work.
Based upon my skills as a college student,
Would I get a job that pays?
I don't need something that pays me low wages.
I'll work 9 to 5 each day.
Don't frown on me. I'm not a jerk.

Jobs a-plenty
I will never be complete until I get one.
