In the Disney film "Sleeping Beauty," Briar Rose is a pseudonym for Princess Aurora that the fairies give her. I used the name Briar Rose to get closer to the pacing of the song.
Stanza I.
I was driving around in old Germany
On the autobahn where the speed limit's high.
Then suddenly, at eleven (I had back to go),
I ran over Princess Briar Rose!
Stanza II.
I knew that I had just harmed a cutie;
In fact, I believed I'd killed Sleeping Beauty!
I saw the blood that was running from her toes;
I ran over Princess Briar Rose!
Stanza III.
Were I caught, die Polizei would sent me to a firing squad;
They would never pray for me, so help me God!
I'll be drawn and then quartered till none even know
I ran over Princess Briar Rose!
Stanza IV.
Her last words were (in German) "Want a doctor now!"
Her soul is in hell now; I don't know how!
Don't know if 'twas my driving; all that I know
Is I ran over Princess Briar Rose! (3x)
