The Lyrics

This started as a joke about Geraldo, but turned into a parody about the whole War on Terror.
Blowing up some buildings, friend,
Is gonna get the U.S. riled
They'll come after you for sure
'Stead of crying like a child
You weren't the country's only foe
But the most evil one, it seems
You had to hide till they turned the tide
Against another enemy.

Saddam was a bandit boy,
Had something against the Kurds
Liked to round them up in droves,
Exterminate them all in herds
Saddam's match he'd fin'lly meet
In the desert near Tikrit
Tucked his tail and hung his head,
No longer the elite

All of the Iraqis say,
We could have had him any day,
We always let him slip away,
He's Al-Quaeda, I suppose

Geraldo, he don't bring the news
From Iraq like he used to
The facts we weren't supposed to know
Ended up on Geraldo's show
Drew some pictures in the sand,
Now he's back in Afghanistan
Hunting for Bin Laden some more
Just like he did before

All the Pakistanis say,
We could have had him any day,
We only let him slip away,
They're Al-Quaeda, I suppose.

The boys tell how Saddam was found,
Livin' in a hole in the ground
The desert's quiet, the war is old
And so the story ends, we're told
Saddam needs justice, it's true
But save a bit for Osama too
We still have some work to do
And the trail, it's growing cold

And all of the Afghanis say,
We could have had him any day
We only let him go so long,
They're Al-Quaeda, I suppose.

A few hopeful nominees say,
We could have had him any day,
We only let him go so long,
They're Al-Quaeda, I suppose.
