The Lyrics

NOTE: Only the third verse of this parody is actually written by me, so feel free to not vote on it for that reason. Anybody familiar with Weird Al's polka medleys will get the idea here - you could call this a tribute. (All parodies I've used are listed at the bottom.) I'm hoping this doesn't ruffle anybody's feathers or break a rule - it's just a bit of fun.
I always miss my TV show
My VCR causes me woe
Now I just got a new gizmo
Won't miss again, we got TIVO
A big hard drive, T-I-V-O

Scum on the water
Pollution in the sky
Scum on the water

(I'm an elf) Making toys
(I'm an elf) I'm helping Santa
(I'm an elf) Doing all I can
(I'm an elf) Working hard
(I'm an elf) Kinda tired
(I'm an elf) But if you've been good
You'll get some toys this Christmas

Hay! Hay! Hay chewed
Won't make cud bad
Takes a fat cow and makes her fatter
The minute she swallows chunder within
Then she'll begin to make milk
Better, better, better, better, better, better, yeah

Little woman
Little woman
Got to keep on hidin'
Mister Jow Blow's hidin'

Little Danny DeVito, baby
You're so cute I could hug you
Little Danny DeVito, poopsie
Think Papa Smurf and some makeup blue

J. Lo
Are you gonna marry that guy named Ben?
J. Lo
Are you gonna marry that guy named Ben?
Gonna be his old lady
'Til he catches me with another man

Yodel-ay-ee, yodel-ay-he-hoo, yodel-ay-ee, yodel-ay-he-hoo
Yodel-ay-ee, yodel-ay-he-hoo, yodel-ay-he-hoo
Yodel-ay-ee, yodel-ay-he-hoo, yodel-ay-ee, yodel-ay-he-hoo
Yodel-ay-ee, yodel-ay-he-hoo, yodel-ay-he-hoo

Joan Plowright is getting high
Bringing Down The House

My snot's runnin', wipe it for me
Got a fever of a hundred and three
Come on, baby, wipe the lip wash away
My snot's runnin', snot's runnin'

Every toy you break
Every mess you make
Every bug you bake
Every cold you fake
Santa's watchin' you

Hard won, two offers to betrothe
Wed the Bentley or the Rolls?
Both are pushing ninety-nine
I must decide, don't have much time
So I've got to let one go, woh-woh-woh
Shed the Bentley or the Rolls?

Let it linger, yeah
You might say it's crass
Pull my finger
Tootin' Jack Cass, full o' gas-gas-gas

People try to put us down
(We're the Prozac generation)
Just because we never frown
(We're the Prozac generation)
World without it seems so c-c-cold
(We're the Prozac generation)
Have to take it 'til I get old
(We're the Prozac generation)

The Prozac generation
(We're the Prozac generation)
The Prozac generation, baby
(We're the Prozac generation)
(We're the Prozac generation)
Prozac, Prozac, Prozac generation
Well, we're the Prozac g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-generation

I've never felt so quotable before. Thanks.

And they say tribute parodies are a crass way to get 5s. Well, you can draw your own conclusions. You're getting some Bloody Good 5s from me, mate. Thank you for the honor.

I can't really consider this a parody... what would have been good for something like this would be finding a weird al polka with all songs that have been parodied on this site and including snippets of those parodies

just so you know...i'm not offended or angered by this i'm just not voting on it... i don't know what songs are included in polkas in 45 if they are the same then this is great and i apologize for the last comment and i'll vote on it

Ethan - no apology needed, and no problem at all if you'd rather not vote on this. I just liked the idea of doing a tribute-style parody this way, so I thought I'd give it a go. What made Polkas On 45 perfect to use is that all but one of the songs included in that medley have been parodied here by somebody (the song that hasn't been parodied here is 'Sex (I'm An...)' by Berlin). So I parodied that section of the medley with my 'I'm An Elf' verse so that there'd still be something written by me. If I hadn't written anything myself, then obviously I wouldn't have submitted this. - December 22, 2003 - Report this comment
Good job, Ozzy, and forgive me if I get a little choked up here - I've always wanted to be included in a polka medley.

Glad you like, Spaff - I don't think I'm going to do any more of these, but it was fun to do once.

I got a song parody based on Berlin's "Sex (I'm A)". It's called "A Song For Breakfast". Check it out!
