The Lyrics

Oh, I have thirst again
Need to get drink again
burning me up inside
Every can I drink -
Hey I don't know
What is that stuff inside
cause I never ever
Felt so odd -

No I can't recall
taste like this at all
Baby this blows my mind away

It's got funny taste -
So tell me why can't this be Coke?
Straight from the can - oh tell me why
Can't this be Coke?
It tastes so odd
and the foam rushes in
and only time will tell
If I get to like it with time...
All I know
this for sure is no Coke
an I'll be damned if
I'll throw it up and puke

No I can't recall
taste like this at all
Baby this blows my mind away

It's got funny taste -
So tell me why can't this be Coke?
Straight from the can - oh tell me why
Can't this be Coke?
It tastes so odd
and the foam rushes in
and only time will tell
If I get to like it with time...
All I know
this for sure is no Coke
an I'll be damned if
I'll throw it up and puke

[Solo]

It's got funny taste -
So tell me why can't this be Coke?
Straight from the can - oh tell me why
Can't this be Coke?
It tastes so odd
and the foam rushes in
and only time will tell
If I get to like it with time...
All I know
this for sure is no Coke
an I'll be damned if
I'll throw it up and puke

Tell me why can't this be Coke?
Baby why can't this be Coke?
Got to know why can't this be Coke?
I wanna know why can't this be Coke...

Quite a bit repetitive, and uses a bit too much of the OS. Not up to your usual standards.

soda-licious

Coke is still great, but there are far too many choices today. I myself would love to drink Moxie all the time, but it is a specialty soda that comes in small bottles here in Cali- when I can get it. It used to be a rival to Coke back in the 19th century!!! Sprechers Puma Cola is also a specialty here: a bit like strong tasting Coke but also smoother than Pepsi b/c it has honey, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon in it :)

Tasted Moxie for the first time last year. Sort of a dull root-beer flavor to me. Only one specialty store in Kansas City has it. Really like Zuberfizz Key Lime Cream Soda. That stuff is good. Remember the Coke vs New Coke controversy in the 1980's? That was when Coca-Cola shifted from cane sugar to corn syrup. Many grocery stores in Kansas City sell single bottles of Coca-Cola and Fanta imported from Mexico. If you look at the ingredient label, the US stuff is corn syrup, the Mexican product, cane sugar. Corn-syrup is regarded by Orthodox Jews as a leavened or fermented product, hence not Kosher for Passover. Cane sugar is acceptable. Hence, one significant market for the Mexican cola.
