Parody Song Title:

"Every Film You Make"

Parody Written by:

Jack Wilson

The Lyrics

This was originally part of a medley I made up that was paroddies about Gigli, it was just the first verse, but I thought I could make a whole parody out of it!
ENJOY!
Every film you make
And every buck you make
Every flop you make
Each Gigli remake
I'll be watchin' you

Every role you play
And every line you say
Every filming day
Every script you take
I'll be watchin' you

Oh, can't you see
You just make movies
Even some remakes
Like "Planet of the Apes"

Every role you play
And every movie craze
Each co-star you get
If your film upsets
I'll be watchin' you

Your movie's made
So co-stars you'll have to face
On Oscar night
A "Lord of the Rings" craze
You've been a hopeful for many days
But not like Ben
And that J. Lo
And I know hat you'll have to face
All of those darn paparazzi

----- Instrumental Interlude ----

Sean Connery
And Halle Berry
No film they should make
With Justin Timberlake

Every plot you choose
And with who you'd schmooze
No flops you should take
Your career's at stake
I'll be watchin' you

Every film you make
Every flop you make

I'll be watchin' you
(Every film you make )
(Every buck you make)
(Every flop you make)
(Each Gigli remake)
I'll be watchin' you
(Every role you play)
(Every line you say)
(Every filming day)
(Every script you take)
I'll be watchin' you

(Every role you take)
(Every flop you take)
(Every line mistake)
(Every role you get)
I'll be watchin' you

(Every movie craze)
(Every line you say)
(Each co star you get)
(If your film upsets)
I'll be watchin' you

(Every film you make)
(Every film remake)
("Planet of the Apes" )
(Every movie craze )
I'll be watchin' you

(Every line you say)
(Every filming day)
(Every script you take)
I'll be watchin' you

(Every role you take)
(Every flop you take)
(Every line mistake)
(Every role you get)
I'll be watchin' you

(Every movie craze)
(Every line you say)
(Each co star you get)
(If your film upsets)
I'll be watchin' you

I'm not familiar with Gigli but I know this song well and I liked how it paced, flowed, and rhymed. I 'm voting 5s just on the reading enjoyment. Well done Jack.

You're really starting to hit your stride, Jack - this is definitely one of your best ever - great improvement on the pacing. Well done. 5's

Good job!

Fine job, Jack, I like the way you followed through on every little detail here, it really shows. You've really been studying the writer's here, I can tell. Your lines here are all fresh, you made this a real fun read by tweaking just about each line of the original's repetitive chorus. Out of darn near 40 such lines almost each one of them was slightly different from all the others and yet you still stayed right on your story line. When you do have a line appearing twice it's well past the first mention and I noticed that you made your FOLLOWING line different from the first time around in most cases. Score? Well, 5's...yes...

High marks for writing new words for the fadeout lines for the backing vocals, which I didn't even consider doing when I wrote my "EVerything You Bake" parody!

(Artistry) I gave high praise above--3 years ago!--and still do, but now I noticed that the bridge is off a beat. You have certainly come a long way, Jack!

Nice concept, and good job varying the repetitive lines.

You actually WATCHED Gigli? Wow...what people won't do for material. I'd go up to J.Lo demand my 90 minutes back. killer Parody, though

I could tell this was one of your older ones, because you've grown a lot since this, but this wasn't too bad.

(Artistry) For an oldie, this quite rocked the parodial balls.

(Artistry) Considering how old this parody is, and how much you've improved as a writer, Jack...this is pretty darn good! 555
Cat - June 27, 2007 - Report this comment
(Artistry) Meh...to be honest, this didn't quite do it for me. It's a bit repetitive, and could have used more variation in rhyming. Good concept, though.
