Original Performer:

The Police

Parody Song Title:

"Drunken Sports Nuts"

Parody Written by:

Agrimorfee

Don't you realize that you are responsible
For attacking a referee
What is the reason to streak across the field
Confronted by Andy Frain Security

32 Beers!
32 Beers!
32 Beers!

See Super Fans in the stands, they really get my goat
Their complete existance is reduced to one big tailgating party
Every week some mullet-headed guy
Ends up as the joke story iin Sports Illustrated Magazine
Act up for the cameras, eat lots of junk food
This is what they drink

32 Beers!
32 Beers!
32 Beers!
(Whooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaa! Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!)

Grotesque, juvenile, yet all of it is true
The freak geeks of the sports world
This is what they do

32 Beers!
32 Beers!
32 Beers!
32 Beers!
32 Beers!
32 Beers!

Wouldn't "32 Beers" be a more acceptable title for this, since that's the phrase you seem to repeat?

Yeah I don't see the phrase "drunken sports nuts" anywhere.

Because using "32 Beers" as the title gives away the joke, the humor of the new words. (Weird Al does the same thing, with songs like "The Plumbing Song", "A Complicated Song" and "The Saga Begins"). When I started writing this parody, I had no intention of writing a song solely about Sports Fans, but I've already written many songs about general drunkenness and wanted to try a new angle--the words, rhythm and brevity of the original helped make it work this way. In the end, I also wanted to let readers know that this song wasn't just about beers and drinking. Thanks for the vote!

(AGES) Well, Agi, you know I'm always fair, your past two rounds have been. . .amazing, but this one. . .it's a bit of a let down. . .I won't say it's a total bomb, but then I know this topic was far from your favorite of choices, so I will let it slide as you are one of my favorite writers on the site.

I don't think I "wasted" my time drinking in all of the tales of these mishaps

Sounds like what led to that brawl in Detroit a few years ago.
