The Lyrics

This is my entry into the Police Parody contest. It's a redux of a previous parody of mine. I hope you like it!
Another reality show is dawning
So many, we can't count them all
We have to watch them till we find the few good ones
Beginning to think there aren't any at all

TV boasts reality as Donald says ‘you’re fired’
But we all know this boardroom life is fake
Pretty boys and girls can't go the distance
There's only so much crap that they can take

Many miles away
Someone's voted off the island
In the middle of a dark
Tropic place

Another drunken driving warning
Celeb-utantes, they crash their cars and cry
They walk unhindered through the police inquiries
They go to jail and wonder ‘why?’

The silly 'Idols' cry and scream when Simon tells them they can't sing
While list’ning to the cheesy song they’ve botched
And some think shows like ‘Bachelor' are superior
Just too excruciating to watch

Many miles away
Someone leaves tribal council
on the dark Tropical Isle

Another episode has ended
Fans are left with next week's show to face
Packed like lemmings watching shiny metal boxes
Contestants in a purely futile race

The latest thing they watch is all those 'Stars' and all their 'Dancing'
There's only so much waltzing I can take
But as long as there's a cute face in the highlights
You'll hear the people saying, "I can't wait!"

Many miles away
There's an outcast on the shore
Of a long sandy beach
Of a dark…
Tropic place

Many miles away
Many miles away
Many miles away
Many miles away
Many miles away...

Just say no to Reality TV. The pacing was a tad off in the fifth stanza. Could be fixed by changing to "like 'Bachelor' are by far superior" and "too excruciating to sit and watch" 455

(Artistry) Exactly what Matthias said (though Drawn Together come close...) !

(Artistry) In general I agree with the sentiment of Reality TV being awful, however there are some notable exceptions like Fear Factor (wow, that has to be one of the most WOAH shows in history), Amazing Race, and Celebrity Fit Club (seeing celebrities as humans is always interesting). . .BUT this parody was magnificent

(Artistry) Is television eating itself? The jury's out...but I'm sure that in 50 years time (if the current trends continue) everyone on this planet will have been on TV at least once. Great job, Sync. 555+

(Artistry) Some pacing quirks, but this was fantastic! I agree wholeheartedly.
