With gaping mouths the serpents wave
Madly in the shadows of a darkened cave
Hanging there like snakes upon Medusa’s head
Waiting for someone who is easily led
Curious kids dare to come and look round
Then suddenly!
Medusa feels the urge to look round!
And there is nothing they can do
They can’t look away
So Medusa’s gonna turn them into statues today!

Cynically you laugh and shake your head
But listen now
Listen to what has to be said
Cause quicker than expected, regardless of size
Their limbs become immobile and they can’t move their eyes
Keep concentrating now my precious boy
Don't look in her eyes or she will turn you into stone
Then it's much too late to look away or turn round in fright
Medusa’s gonna turn you into limestone tonight

Like a hundred thousand people here before
