The people in charge of the banks lent too much credit to people deemed a high-risk customer, and when companies went in to administration and people lost their jobs and couldn’t repay there mortgages the losses soon piled up. Begin the RECESSION Everyday working people like myself suffer from it, small companies struggle to stay open and our industries are near bankruptcy, while the people who got us into this mess still earn huge bonuses and high profile wages it sucks During the time of boom and bust if Bankers and Managers took a bit more care then maybe we wouldn’t be in a recession, but no their greed got the better of them and here’s my parody to this situation
You are not untouchable
You bankers better get that straight
I think it inexcusable
How you gave out credit on a plate
Our companies on the floor
Economies going to die
I just got one question for the banks
Have you figured out why?
You gave your money out
Mortgaged all those homes
Governments bailed you out
Borrowing debt is wrong
I don’t want to criticise you
I don’t want to put you down
But we all don’t like the recession
Blame must go to those who put us down
I see all the angry faces
What jobs left there for you and me
Seeing my future going down the bin
The times aint what they used to be
Theirs no debt free way out
Theirs no safe way home
Government sort it out
Recession don’t stay long
Global Problem we can get through it
We don’t know how long it may take
Useless bankers put on this road
Paid Bonuses and set up for life
The system needs a reform

i was a licensed loan originator and realtor when these " sneak under the wire loan programs were invented.. it isnt the banks fault. i wrote many of these loans. the liberals, wanting to impress for votes, required that lenders provide loan programs for those who didnt meet the mathematical requirements. when we try to force everyone to be equal, innocent people have to pay. some people shouldnt be doctors, fly airplanes, or buy houses at certian times in thier life. and as much as i hate george bush, in 1991 or 1992 he is on video warning us about this house buying, loan lending situation, that it cant work...
Fives. We had exactly similar situation in Finland 1989-1996. I still remember that period with extreme bitterness - it effectively torpedoed my career aspirations as chemical engineer. I was forced to pick up computers instead.
Hi Rob and Suasanna I did'nt realise till now that this parody had picked up comments, Thanks for the Fives and comments and I see you've expierienced a similar situation yourselves.
Rob: I think your last sentence sums up what I'm getting, banks made credit available so readily and easily available without considering that maybe sum people would not be able to afford repayments, and at the hieght of the housing boom when working class people were borrowing nearly 6-10 times there yearly income to purchase houses it was bound to have failed in longterm and now we have this situation.
Susanna: I am studying to become a trained engineer and my problem is probably what happened to you, even if I gain my qualification what jobs will thier be for me in or around the area I live. Its terrible that companies are closing down beacuse the banks can no longer afford to back them.
