Song Parodies -> This Book Da Vinci
| Original Song Title: | "We Built This City" |
| Original Performer: | Starship |
| Parody Song Title: | "This Book Da Vinci" |
| Parody Written by: | Matthias |
Said, "To go blow me"
Catholics now enraged
Pages they tear
Jesus
Was Not Engaged!!!
Toss me in the poopa
Shrieking in my sight
Too many blasphemies
Now I must ignite
Da Vinci paints the Mona
It must be some kind of code
Dan Brown surrenders
His Book Da Vinci
His Book Da Vinci's against the code
This Book Da Vinci
This Book Da Vinci's against the code
Book Da Vinci
This Book Da Vinci's against the code
Langdon is complaining
Role is played by Hanks?!
Who paired Tom up with Frenchie?
We just upset the franks
I can't help but glance, here
Like Carrot Top on stage
Now who's the one resoncible!?
For bashing Dan Brown's page?!
Da Vinci paints to Mona
It must be some kind of code
Brown just surrenders
His Book Da Vinci
His Book Da Vinci's against the code
This Book Da Vinci
This Book Da Vinci's against the code
This Book Da Vinci
This Book Da Vinci's against the code
I'm just another shun page
On The Vatican Street
The priests don't want this book sold
But we just lust to read!!!!!
Dark clouds, not sunny
Dan Brown's like czar
Who makes the Christians brawl
While he smokes cigars?
Don't yell at the readers
Cause it's just fiction, Fools!
Library O' America, even in your schools!
Dan Brown surrenders (surrenders)
Da Vinci paints the Mona
It must be some kind of code
Dan Brown surrenders
His Book Da Vinci
His Book Da Vinci's against the code
This Book Da Vinci

*There's only one thing that I don't like about Tom Hanks, and that is his hair... From Gump, to Langdon, please Hank the only good look you pulled off was the plastic hair, and cowboy hat in TOY STORY!!! But great acting man, great acting, I'm impressed!

Excellent sum up of da whole Da vinci dilemma..high fives
One of the best parodies ever of one of the silliest pop-music songs ever!
I haven't seen the movie nor read the book, but you deserve a good score anyway for taking on what is considered by many to be the worst song ever.
(ABC) Bad song, good parody.
(ABC3-T) Likewise, I never read the book or saw the movie. But I do like the cracks on Hanks. 555's. And...the OS is the worst song ever?
Very well-written. The thing is, many of the lies promoted in The Da Vinci Code aren't new. They go back to the gnostics of John's time.---MM
ABC - Da Forrest Gump Code.
(ABC3-T) Irritating OS, bullsh*t book, excellent parody.
(ABC3T) Ditto Agrimorfee's comment.
(ABC) Ahem, I actually quite liked the book...but great, now I'll have that stupid OS in my head for days. =/ Great job, though.
(ABC) See above!
(ABC3T) brilliantly done Matthias - hate the OS (see my "These Are The Tunes I Wish They Could Unsing") but it's a perfect title sub and I love this parody - 555
(ABC3T) Excellent parody, Matthias! I didn't think the title fit but, it does. 555
(ABC3T) This is a stunning effort, Matty! Godawful OS (this seems to be the concensus) rejuvenated with biting humour. 555
(ABC3-T) See above!
ABC...I seem to be the only one who delights in my old and tired 80s music, as I LOVE this OS...and I loved the parody, too. Didn't read the book, but I liked the movie, for the most part. I'll agree about Hanks' hair, though...=)
Nice wordplay on the title, I'm also a fan of "old/tried" 80s music.
Loved it! 5s
