The Lyrics

While listening to Pandora set to the "Stan Bush Radio" setting one day, it started playing "Jesse's Girl." Suddenly, the thought occurred that this song could be made into a sort of "I told you so!" towards New York over Hurricane Sandy. In this song, an angry minister preaches from the pulpit in musical form, claiming that only "divine judgment" can explain Hurricane Sandy specifically touching down in New York City, as the preacher thinks of reasons why New York may have deserved to get hit. I don't expect this song to be very popular with most New Yorkers; but most everyone else will probably get a kick out of it. Events in the news referenced include: 1. Occupy Wall Street being allowed to protest without a permit in 2011 whereas Iraq veterans returning from duty were snubbed by Bloomberg 2. Bloomberg's "War on Sugar" 3. Various Planned Parenthood scandals, 4. The rejection of non-union out-of-state relief efforts 5. Blatant "Big Three Network" media bias during the election cycle 6. The exaggeration of Chris Christie and Obama's concern for Hurricane victims, which was mostly just talk, while the media downplayed the Romney campaign suspending their campaign and lending their tour bus to aid in actual relief efforts as "not enough" or "we don't care, Romny's STILL out of touch!" 7. Lena Dunham's tasteless ad about "voter virginity." 8. Near-total big three media coverage blackout concerning Benghazi until after the election. 9. Obama's petty talking points during the debates.
1. New York's a dead end;
Yeah, it's always been too liberal for me!

Occupy was deranged;
That ain't hard to decide!

Then they dissed Iraq veterans;
And then sugar they deride!

And they butchered up those babies!
They let pedos in their classrooms;
I just know it!

Turned down help just because it's non-union; the spite!

(First Chorus)

So they deserved to witness Sandy twirl!
Hope they liked watching Sandy twirl!

It hardly gets more divine judgment than that!

2. The media played a charade;
To aid their lame friend Mr. Hopin'-n'-Change!

And all the politics were dirty;
Chris Christie was talking cute!

And while Romney lent his bus out;
His gesture was rendered moot!

'Cos they played up all Lena's lies!
And they ignored Benghazi;
Don't you know it!

Horses and bayonets;
Big Bird, he is in plight!

(Second Chorus)

And then they got to witness Sandy twirl!
Hope they liked watching Sandy twirl!

It hardly gets more divine judgment than that!

When Sandy twirled!
Hope they liked watching Sandy twirl!

You rarely see divine judgment…
You rarely see divine judgment like that!

(Instrumental Break)

(Bridge)

And they're drowning in filth all the time!
And it's all over CNN!

Not too funny;
They're all in a bind!

They sent away other states' helping!

(Instrumental Break)

(Spoken:) You know!

It really screamed "divine judgment" like that!

(Instrumental Break)

(Final chorus)

And they got to witness Sandy twirl!
They deserved to have Sandy twirl!
And so, Sandy twirled!

You rarely see divine judgment like that;

Like Sandy twirled!

Made headlines all around the world!

Because!
Because Sandy twirled!

Your first sentence of the introduction seems to suggest that Pandora was listening to Pandora; but, other than that, very sound assessment of the situation in New York. Of course, NY is not the only place that might "deserve" a "Sandy" type of punishment.
