The Lyrics

This began originally as misheard lyrics. All these years I thought it was about Eastern boys and Western girls - and I wondered as usually the love story is the other way - Oriental girls go hot on Occidental guys, not the other way around. I found out only some time ago it was about West End in London. But why leave a good mondegreen unused? What happens when Gangnam boys meet valley girls?
Somehow you've made gold out of lead
You have lots of money and it's risen to your head
You think you're rich, you got Gangnam style
you think you have wits and you're fertile
In a posh night club in the Western town
you're putting up style and money around
you have heard of easy girls
that dwell around the Western world

In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
Western girls

Heavy make-up faces, giggling voices
Eastern boy, you sure have a lot of choices
But those bimboes only wanna know what?
How much money have you got?
Have you got it, do you get it, if so, how often?
And which do you choose, a hard or soft option?
(How much do you need?)

In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
Western girls
West-ern-girls

(How much do you need?)

In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
Western girls

She has a heart of glass, you have heart of stone
Girls are easier than back home
You are rich and you show it off
Conspicuous way more than enough
A few more drinks and another dance
Perhaps you then get to use your lance
(How far have you come?)

In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
In a Western town, in a shallow world
The Eastern boys and Western girls
Western girls

Wes-ern-girls

Western girls
(How far have you come?)

Girls
Eastern boys
And Western girls
And Western girls
(... forever to the fade)

It's been a long time since I've heard the original or seen the video ,Susanna....I think you did a spot on job without a crazy wolrd of difference to the Pet Shop Boys number

DKOS but this is an effective concept very smoothly crafted, including the intro, with no awkward English (smile) so 555s just for that

This is close to how I always considered the song, esp regarding the Western Girls, and that they would be more than enough for any eastern/Eastern man.
