The Lyrics

This song is for all you Red Sox Fans out here
The fans are in Fenway Park
Deep in the heart
His Catcher's Name is Variek
Deep in the Heart

Tonight's the night, to root and shout
Deep in the Heart
Tonight's the night we're beatin' out
Deep in the heart

Been working all season for this one night
I'm planning every move and checkin' it out
Now, I'm finally here, that best game is near
You know how I feel? It's blowin' me out!

The folks down here are rooting now
Deep in the heart
So here's a toast to a perfect host

Deep in the heart

Mike Lowell is here for this big night
I'm watching the game and J.D. Drew is out
Now, Ortiz is in 3rd, and home plate is near
You know how I feel? Hinske's at Bat!

They sent us all to home plate.
And Scored a Run!
We Scored a point for
Da Red Sox!

Tonight we'll win this whole game
Deep in the heart, deep in the heart
Deep in the heart of Boston Red Sox All The Way!
So How Do You Like it?

Varitek has heart? The man in the chicken-wire mask? He has no heart, he has no courage, I'm not sure he has a brain, and the only reason he tried his punk move on A-Rod in that '04 game is that it was in the Back Bay, not the South Bronx. There's no place like home. Until, that is, the Yankees once again turn Fenway into Yankee Stadium North, as they inevitably will.
