| Parody Song Title: | "How Am I Supposed to Trade Without You" |
| Parody Written by: | Rocky Mak |
I've used Michael Bolton's version instead, but since Laura Branigan is the original singer, I listed as so. This song is based upon a trade in NHL 08 that fell through because I miscalculated my salary cap, forcing me to trade away my star player. I didn't do it, left myself very vulnerable in goal. Of course I made the players up, didn't create them up though.
I can hardly believe it
When I did the the Maths today
I had to go and trade off M. Lemieux
I said I was bleeding
I was forced into a trade
Superstar for Patrick Roy
I'd say I'm screwed
So tell me how I'll go about it
Should I get the trade amended
Tell me one thing more before I go
Tell me: How am I supposed to trade without you
How can I get my team's cap so wrong
How am I supposed to trade without you
And how am I supposed to carry on
When all my goalies injured or they're gone
No point re-trying
My finances is a a clown
All the players lock up, deadline is at hand
How can I blame you, when I built my team around him
I hope that one day, I can trade down in the draft
I don't wanna know the price I'm gonna pay for keeping
Even though this game is more than fake
Tell me: How am I supposed to trade without you
How can I get my team's cap so wrong
How am I supposed to trade without you
And how am I supposed to carry on
When all my goalies injured or they're gone
Now I don't wanna know the price I really paid for keeping
Now Lord Stanley's in your room
Tell me: How am I supposed to trade without you
How can I get my team's cap so wrong
I can't give up 3 defensemen to you
And how am I supposed to carry on
When all my goalies injured or they're gone
When I did the the Maths today
I had to go and trade off M. Lemieux
I said I was bleeding
I was forced into a trade
Superstar for Patrick Roy
I'd say I'm screwed
So tell me how I'll go about it

Tell me: How am I supposed to trade without you

How am I supposed to trade without you
