This week started the Penal Tour de France, a bike ride for 194 prisoners and 124 of their closest prison guards and biking instructors. The 1,500 mile trek will allow them to bike, build a team mentality and see the countryside. According to the BBC article (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8082354.stm), they will have to stay as a group and no break-aways. Prisoners say that this is "an escape from prison life."
