The Lyrics

HOORAY! I finally graduated from school! Now I no longer have to go to school!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, except for college, but that's a different story.
Look at what’s happened to me,
I graduated from school.
Suddenly, I’m bound to go to college,
It’s because I’m not a fool.

Believe it or not, I’m finally here,
I never thought I would go so far.
I have got so many hopes & some fears,
And the 3 Rs (1)
Will keep me out from behind bars.

I’m at the ceremony now,
And most of my classmates are there.
The band is playing “Pomp & Circumstance”,(2)
We throw our mortarboards(3) in the air.

Believe it or not, I’m finally here,
I never thought I would go so far.
I have got so many hopes & some fears,
And the 3 Rs
Will keep me out from behind bars.

This is too good to be true.
I can do what I want to do.

Believe it or not…
Believe it or not…
Believe it or not…
Believe it or not…

Believe it or not, I’m finally here,
I never thought I would go so far.
I have got so many hopes & some fears,
And the 3 Rs
Will keep me out from behind bars.

Believe it or not, I’m finally here,
I never thought I would go so far.
I have got so many hopes & some fears,
And the 3 Rs
Will keep me out from behind bars…

*smile* In Finland, our graduate caps are white, and we sing "Gaudeamus igitur" in Latin. The caps of Helsinki University of Technology are hexagonal, with a black tassle. There is a place and time for everything, and it is called college.
