Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

"Hey, where's my rhyming dictionary?"--Michael Hutchence, circa 1986
Congregate, hypothecate, redecorate, dilapidate, let's go ice skate, extrapolate, exterminate, precipitate, an ape's a primate, now retranslate, a worm is bait, refrigerate, salivate,
vegetate, vaccinate, exacerbate, to the Heaven's Gate,
the song's for Kate and Beatrice Straight,
Alliterate, agglutinate, alienate, allocate, don't altercate,
chalkboard slate, aggravate, oscillate,
You congratulate, I'm so great, obdurate, go on a date, lubricate, penetrate, ejaculate, inseminate(!),
Propagate, sodium nitrate, benzoate, and cyclamate, barbiturate, get a rebate, it's a stalemate,
Masturbate, saturate, vacillate, laminate, nominate, perpetrate, ungulate, Cheddar cheese you grate,
insulate, for $16.98, we irritate, reiterate

Just wanted to bump this up again, and comment that the pacing is a lot better than judged by whomever....if one listens to the song and sings the words right along with Michael Hutchence, every beat matches. Sure it's stupid to list all of these rhyming words (some of them were placed strategically), but that was the entire point of this parody. Tooting my own horn, but I think people should give this one a chance if they havent' already. :)

Yes its all just rhyming words, but that's all the original song was, as well! lol. great job...we share a strange sense of humor...scarey, huh?

Well, a funny list of rhymes here. Makes as much sense as TOS, which I'm working on. Now I have about 100 rhymes that I can't use in my parody! 555.

Michael Hutchence did not write the lyrics to "Mediate". Andrew Farriss did. So your funny quote about the rhyming dictionary should be credited to Andrew.

Not too irritating!

(Artistry) "Out-randoming the random" is a bit of an acquired taste as far as parody concepts go, a taste which I'm not too fond of, TBH. Still, for what it is, a pretty good parody for being 15 years of age.
