Trying to shock nuns is not much sport. There is no trophy.

There is no characteristic lack of a sense of humor, and, it's just not funny. You'd have to know something about nuns, or humor, to make it funny.
MacPhisto manges to throw in a term like tithing, so he must know a little about the subject. It was funny, not ROFL-level, but funny still.
