Inhalant abuse is an alarmingly common method of intoxication amongst young schoolgirls in Finland. Compared to alcohol and illicit drugs, it is both legal, easy and relatively cheap method of getting high. Yet definitely NOT suggested to anyone!

When I was 10 years old I built a lot of plastic model airplanes. Back then (early 1960's) I could buy some wonderful glue that would actually melt styrene and fuse the parts together. The stuff smelled rather bad and I would never have thought of deliberately inhaling it. When I was 16 I found a model that I wanted to assemble. I could no longer buy glue, the law said you had to be at least 18. I have despised the government and authority ever since. My home town (Kansas City, Kansas) prohibits the sale of spray paint and large marker pens to persons under 18. I think it has to do with graffiti rather than sniffing. The Environment Police once made an inspection of a typesetting company I worked for. They listed a felt tip marker as "hazardous material".

Loved this one, Susannah - 555! Reminds me of my art college days where I did an Exhibition Design course. We had to work with Perspex a lot, and the recommended substance for glueing it together was not glue but... chloroform! Oh, the fun we all had... and the many, many models we made - all ENTIRELY from wonky bits of Perspex... ;^)
And if that was too 'hardcore' - there was always the Pantone markers...
