The Lyrics

It's official, a new mega-railroad is now on the face of the planet, CPKC!
[[Hook]]
There is one big mega railroad
One that we have dreamed for so many years
Can't you see how this had really happened
This is the big daddy of all the Class 1's
Oh, CPKC!
CPKC!
Oh, CPKC!
CPKC!

[[1st Verse:]]
Two railroads have merged to become one
Ain't no ordinary merger...
Things are looking dramatic, aren't they?
CP Railway, Kansas City Southern
One lovely marriage
Serving three countries, in North America, yes!
Transcontinental?
More than that, much bigger than others, to be exact
You see...

[[Hook]]

[[2nd Verse]]
Canadian Pacific walked...
To KCS' house so she could date...
And she danced, and danced, and danced, and danced, and danced through!
They danced all through the lovely night
In matrimony
A grand corporate wedlock on April 14th...
A new baby's born
A new kid in town, and also on the block
Hey there, hey there, hey there
CP walked in and...
Looked for a flashy great guy
CP and KCS are married now...
They're one corporate couple!
This is the, the new transcontinental railroad
Canada, United States and Mexico...

[[3rd Verse:]]
CPKC!
This is the new kid!
CPKC!
This is what you can't resist
Ohh, CPKC!
Can't bluff anymore, oh yes it's
CPKC!
Canadian Pacific...
Oh, yes people!
Kansas City Southern's in the lock too!
He's married to his wife CP!
The real transcontinental railroad
Unlike the UP, yes!
CPKC!
It's official folks, yes!
Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern!
CPKC!

Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern were founded in 1881 and 1887 respectively. They are both Canadian and American railroad companies respectively. CP operates in the Midwestern United States as the Soo Line Railroad (which brought the Milwaukee Road under its wing in 1985 during bankruptcy.) KCS has a subsidiary railroad that extends into Mexico.
