The Lyrics

This is another musical tribute to TV’s Gotham, but in the same episode “Tonight’s the Night” (Season 2 Episode 8). It takes place where Barbara Kean turns herself into Jim Gordon at the Gotham Police Department, and ends up in the interrogation room with him. This is like before Barbara manipulatively drags Jim to the deadly wedding scene. Most of the following song parody is a view from Jim Gordon, but Barbara Kean does the evil laughs (similar to the Phil Collins evil laughs) and acts seductively towards Jim.
(As the music begins, Barbara, the Arkham Asylum escapee, makes a surprise appearance in the Gotham police department. While the officers point guns at her, she puts on an evil grin and says, “Long time no see, Jim.” As Jim puts Barbara in the interrogation room, Jim breaks into song.)

***Jim Gordon***:

Why are you here, Barbara?
I know it’s not a date
Ooh there’s something wrong with you, Barbara
Oh we must negotiate
We’ve broke up and you chose to betray me
Oh you’ve joined Galavan, and it’s not so great
No, you don’t love me, Barbara,
You’ve been a naughty girl

Now I want to know, Barbara
What Theo told you to do
I want to know the truth, Barbara
What are you really up to
There’s something evil inside you
Oh it’s just controlling you
Yes, you will help me, Barbara,
Catch Theo in this world

***Barbara Kean*** (Standing up from the table going crazy):

HA HA HA! HA HA HA! I want you!
HA HA HA! HA HA HA! I want you, Jim!

(Harvey Bullock barges into the room. Then, he pulls down Barbara’s arm to sit her down on the seat and say, “Sit your bottom in that seat or you will get a time-out in the cell.”)

***Jim Gordon***:

Please cooperate, Barbara
Barbara, Barbara, Barbara Kean
You’re making this hard
You’re making this hard
You’re making this hard oh
You are killing me, Barbara
Barbara, Barbara
Theo must’ve helped you escape
From Arkham prison
Theo should be barred

***Barbara Kean*** (Standing up from the table going crazy once again):

HA HA HA! HA HA HA! I want you, Jim!

(Then, Jim forces Barbara to her seat.)

You’re sick, so sick to me, Barbara
And you drive me insane
Your lies, they hurt me, Barbara
And there’s evil inside your brain
Please tell, please tell me, Barbara
Oh what Theo has done to your brain
Yes, you will help me, Barbara
Catch Theo Galavan

Yes, I really know, Barbara
That Theo’s hiding somewhere
You’ll help, you’ll help me, Barbara
With some information that you must share
I will drive you around Gotham city
Oh and this won’t get you any eclairs
Yes, you will guide me, Barbara
To Theo Galavan
If you don’t know who Harvey Bullock is, he is Jim Gordon’s detective partner. By the way, A Deadly Wedding Night in Gotham is one of the follow-ups to this song parody. As soon as I am done writing all the musical tributes I can write to Gotham, I will put them all in order in one album. Who knows? They could all be parodies of various Genesis songs by Phil Collins.
