I just noticed that Jan Unwin has already done this one (and very well, I might add) , but here's another take on the theme that this makes a darn good drinking song.
Don't sip it all day
Don't you sip it like it's forever
Keg for you and me I could honestly say
Means things can only get better
While I drink away
Drown out the demons inside
And it won't be long before you and me run
To the stall in the room where we hide
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
Beer in my hand could be beer shared with youse
Laughing like frat boys, living like drunkards
I'm gonna chunder under the counter
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
Just stare like I'm spaced
Picture my head in the john
Drunker each second with inebriation
And never forget I'm way gone
Wait on me pal
Drink a Bud Light if it helps
But more than ever I simply love beer
More than I love anything else
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
Time on my hands could be spent drunk with youse
Can't pay my bar tab, I've got to borrow
Downing another like no tomorrow
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
I've got to hurl
Coffee by the cup never helps
But more than ever I need some more beer
More than I need to relieve myself
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
Spilled on my pants could be really bad news
Laughing like idiots, emptied our wallets
Whatever you call it, we're alcoholics
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
Don't you sip it like it's forever
Keg for you and me I could honestly say
Means things can only get better
While I drink away
Drown out the demons inside
And it won't be long before you and me run
To the stall in the room where we hide
And I guess that's why they drink up the booze
Beer in my hand could be beer shared with youse
Laughing like frat boys, living like drunkards

"This 5's for you" (cue the Budweiser music)
And I made the first two lines of the chorus rhyme. That's bugged me for years about the original. I'm glad "youse guys" like it.
Wasn't sure about the pacing, but overall very witty and the rhyming in the chors matched brilliantly.
Nice job. 5/5/5.
