| Original Song Title: | "Just A Gigolo/Ain't Got Nobody" |
| Original Performer: | David Lee Roth (after Louis Prima) |
| Parody Song Title: | "Just A Tornado" |
| Parody Written by: | Agrimorfee |
I'm just a tornado, and everywhere I blow
People are gonna start prayin'
I will make a big splash
Making things crash
Oooh, that's what I'm sayin'
But there will come a day
My winds will blow away--whoosh!
What will they say about me?
When that time comes, I know I won't be a tornado
Life goes on without me
I'm just a tornado (tornado)
And everywhere I blow (where I blow)
People hate the things I'm breakin'
The trailer park is gone, by the crack of dawn
Ohh, that's what I'm playin'
And when I come today, the surfers will run away--whooosh!
What will they say about me?
When the end comes I know I won't be a tornado
Life goes on without me
'Cause--
I won't have velocity!
Velocity, velocity--please all you people, don't take a chance with me
You won't like me mad
Ahhhhhh, ain't it a pity!
Velocity, velocity, I'm blowin through your town, people
Now don't get me mad
I cause destruction---alllll of the time
Even on the beach, even on the beach--
Bop-bozy-bozy-bop--diddy bop!
I still have velocity!
Blow through the city, blow through the city
Hey there sweet mama, don't take a chance with me
My wind speed is rad! (horn/sax solo)
Down to the very last, down to the very last, down to the very last drop!
I still have velocity!
Blow through the city, blow through the city
Hey there sweet mama, don't take a chance with me
My wind speed is rad!
I will cause destruction---allllll of the time
Even on the beach, even on the beach
I will--visit--your city--soon--baby!
'Cause I got velocity!
I know--I'll be in
Florida! (Florida!) Nebraska! (Nebraska!) Oklahoma! (Oklahoma!)
Minnesota (Minnesota!) Illinois! (Illinois!)
'Cause I got velocity!
People are gonna start prayin'
I will make a big splash
Making things crash
Oooh, that's what I'm sayin'

Tornadoes suck, and tornadoes blow, but this parody does neither !
Read this today; great job.
(ABC/J) Great concept, well done.
(ABC05) Interesting reading this after Stu's on the way it is formatted. Some differences obviously but they are both well done as far as I can remember TOS. I take it a tornado would sing this, which is hilarious.
This blows and doesn't blow at the same time.
(ABC) I second the great concept. Nice one!
(ABC) See above!
(J) - Yes, yours and mine are quite different in layout, aren't they Agri - it's interesting to see the different decisions we all make - and I really liked "Down to the very last, down to the very last, down to the very last drop!" - 555
(ABC05) Nicely done, Agri. Funny how yours and Stu's ended up next to each other. I think the subject of your parody is probably what the subject of Stu's parody had in his mind all the time. 555
...I thought this OS seemed a bit familiar. You should perform this live, trashing the stage as you go. :)
Matter of fact, Luke, I did perform this live, a capella. I didn't trash the stage, but did throw in a little improvised soft-shuffle in the final chords to thunderous applause (if claps of 5 people in a cafe constitutes thunderous).
Ah...Capella. Well done, I've always wanted to follow one of those things around.
An interesting twist on the same DLR song I've just looked at...
