| Parody Written by: | Duffy |
Life in da Bronx isn't that tough.....
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh
Just Another Crime
Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh
Just Another ....
After heading off to bed last night
Left the room and turned off every light
Got snug in bed, and
Turned off my bedside lamp and
Sank down in my warm bed for my own delight.
Then I heard some noise out in the hall
I had locked my locks, , one and all!
Someone got in there!
Oh, boy, did they err
I heard them coming so I tried to stall
Oh, oh, oh
Just another crime
Oh, oh, oh
Just another....
"Hi, there, guys, I see you brought a gun,
Oh, he's cute! Say, is that kid your son?
I think it's real great
The kid can stay up this late,
Most kids would be asleep cause day is done."
My chit chat freaked the guy out so bad
He looked 'round my room
He thought he'd been had
Maybe he'd come to the wrong house
Just look at this louse
Geesh, he's not very bright, no....
He beat a hasty retreat when I had stopped
His attempt at robbery had flopped
He fled so quickly
You know, they looked quite sickly
It wasn't a surprise their jaws had dropped.
In the Bronx, a prowler's not big time
We're used to this scum
We're used to such slime
We know how to hold our own, we're tough
We know to play rough
And it ain't nothing special
We invite the muggers in for tea
Sometimes they make copies of my key
They're not so bad, no
They sometimes get me mad, though
When they think my stuff is marked "Take one" and "Free"
