Friday night a song I started
Inspiration soon departed
Someday soon I'll pick it up again
I was only tryin' for one
But I left it there undone
What a way to start the weekend! I'm Dee-ranged!
I was stranded in the twilight zone
I struggled there for hours alone
Even to the point my back was wracked with pain
I was planning on some fives
So my ego could survive
But instead I'm stuck with useless words again

Too late tonight, my thoughts are hazy
Unfinished songs, nothing to show

The veterans here have such a flair
For plucking parodies from air
But only three so far have I compiled
Of this site I am a fan
And I'll make it if I can

Cram together side by side to
Fit together in a clever way

Really really good, Rick. Just to let you know, even the veterans suffer writers block (except John Barry, who has parodies coming out his ears)...this parody writing biz, addictive as it is, is damn hard work. You obviously DO have a flair, so keep writing! 555
