The Lyrics

I just happen to be a slight fan of Polka. Heck, I play the Accordian, not very good, but hey... So anyway, this is a parody about a guy who brings Polka back into our Society.
Today's music is gettin' Lame
No One likes Rap, Oh No
Nobody listens to Rock and Roll
No one but an old HoBo

And so I get out my Accordian
And I started to play a song
They all said it was neat, then a guy gave it a beat
And it never ever could go wrong

La La La de de da
La la de de da da dum

[Chorus]
I'm singing a song with my Accordian
I'm singing Polkas all night
Cuz no one likes Hip-Hod or Country now
Now Accordians are doing all right

Now Johny-Joe-Smith is a friend of Mine
He's my roomate in room number 3
And he drinks to much Coke, And he may get a Stroke
Unless he gets the Fat-Free

He says, "Hey buddy can you help a friend"
"I don't wanna be Fat anymore"
So I sung him this one, on my Accordion
Now he only weighs 124

Oh, La La La de de da
La la de de da da dum

Now Paul is my real estate novelist
Who never had time for some fun
and you know what I did, that's what I've been telling you, sid
Now he has fun with everyone

[Chorus]

It's a pretty good day for a Saturday
Cuz some guy asks me for a job
He says, "Can I be in your band, I'm your number one fan"
"I'll play for some Corn-on-the-Cob"

And this guy and I tour the entire world
Though I never really learned his name
But I just give a sigh, and then wonder why
I'm playing the Accordian game

Oh, La La La de de da
La la de de da da dum

[Chorus]

Eh-heh, I dun usually leave comments, mostly because I don't know when to shut up (I know, bad me *gasp*)! But I actually found this kinda funny! ...Is it bad that it reminded me of Weird Al? In any case, this was cool

Thanx, glad you liked it. And no, it isn't bad that this reminds you of weird al. Cuz I was inspired to wright parody by Weird Al. Also, I like Polka cuz of weird al, I bought my accordian of weird al. And I take that as a complement, knowing that people actually will mistake my work for the Prince of Parody's Work.

It has been said that a gentleman is a man who CAN play the accordion, but DOESN'T. I completely agree -- and I'm Polish.

I guess you could call me a gentleman then. I'm learning to play the accordian, but if people tell me to play them a song, I object

This starts out good, but some stuff I dont get, like a stroke from too much Coca-Cola coke. Cocaine coke maybe. And, you sing and he looses weight? I don't get it. And playing for corn I dont get. Did I miss something or is it suposed to be just silly ha ha and not funny ha ha.
Mr. Je Ne Sais Quoi - May 28, 2004 - Report this comment
Ok, the coke part, The guy drinks too much Coke Ok. And the singing a song ecourages the guy to loose weight cuz it's so good I guess, I couldn't fit that in the song. And the guy who plays for corn is just one of those idiots that we all love. Yes I guess you could say this is a "silly ha ha"

Hi my name is Melissa. I am 11 years old and I think you should have a website on how to play the keyboard part of the accordian, because i am learning how to play an accordian that is 36 years old from when my dad was 9 years old. My grandfather would like me to carry on a family tradition
