Parody Song Title:

"The Robe"

Parody Written by:

Lionel Mertens

The Lyrics

When Jesus was crucified, the centurians cast lots for his tunic because his robe was without seam. This symbolized Christ's righteousness.
On the cross our Lord did suffer
And gave his life to bleed
On the cross our Lord did conquer
And damned the devils deeds
On the cross our Lord did wonders
A selfless saving feat
At the cross our lord will cover
Past dues with fabric creed

It's the proud ashamed of praying
That never fold their hands
It's the fool that quits obeying
That never takes command
It the mind that won't get sucked in
That blows off all belief
And the cruel who love to punish
That never find relief

When life's ride has been to bumpy
And your soul just wants to faint
And you shout aloud and grumpy
"Who's a sinner, who's a saint?"
Just remember your a winner
When you wear the savior's clothes
Like a creed of woven fabric
Without seam a righteous robe

Good song. I gave the one cause i assume this is meant to be serious and not humorous. 551

Yeah, I admit I probably should have given a 1 also for "how funny" - I guess I take that to mean how much of whatever emotion you are trying to elicit. Just wanted to say I love your songs; you do a great job of witnessing, Christian brother.
