The Lyrics

Oct. 20, 2013: this week the New York Daily News reported two separate incidents earlier this year where two young Black college students each bought high-end items at Barneys New York with their bank debit cards. Moments after leaving the store with their purchases, each student was stopped by police and was either manhandled or held for hours on suspicion of credit card fraud. Ironically, rapper Jay Z currently has a deal with Barneys to develop holiday-themed merchandise and a display window! One student is now suing Barneys and the NYPD. Gee: I thought that with white-collar crime like credit card fraud, they collected solid evidence before going after a suspect! OS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvSlGRyj_cw
If you dare to buy a Ferragamo belt:
Barneys New York,
Debit Chase bank card as your gelt,
Now you may work and study hard,
But I warn you, brother in black skin,
They will still stand guard

’Cause your business ain’t what they want.

Though you dare desire an orange Celine purse—

“Up against the wall!
Stole that card?
What’d you deploy
For that money, boy?”

—Tax refund spent
As you study to be a nurse,
You may possess a Bank Am card,
But, believe me, sister in sepia,
They will still push hard

’Cause your business ain’t what they want.

If you dare to buy some fancy Barneys bling:
Fancy rich stuff
That they swear on high ain’t your thing…
I hope you’ll earn magna cum laude,
But—Lord help us, brothers and sisters!—
They will still cry fraud!

“Up against the wall!”
Shop and Frisk!
“How in the world
You have money, girl? You fake!”

“Up against the wall!”
Shop and Frisk!
“This ain’t your thing!
How’d you buy our bling, you punk?”

“Up against the wall!”
Shop and Frisk!
Barneys New York
Don’t like young and dark, oh no…

“Up against the wall!”
Shop and Frisk!
“Wait—what the hey
Will that Jay Z say? Uh-oh!”

Racism, cultural hatreds and religious hatreds exist all over the world
Your parody just perpetuates stereotypes of both sides, no matter what the incident(s)
Sorry, 1/1/1

5/5/5 for this fine expose' .....Strikes a nerve in some satire haters, but that's their problem

It wasn't meant to be funny, it was meant to make a point, and it did. If you got a problem with the content, lobby your City Hall and your Police Department and tell them not to PROVIDE the content! New York will soon have a new Mayor and a new Police Comissioner, and they'll put a stop to this stuff.
