| Original Performer: | Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson |
| Parody Song Title: | "Jerry Jones Says That Emmitt's No Longer A Cowboy" |
| Parody Written by: | Bubba |
Cowboys ain't easy to love, like in those days of old.
The NFL's leading rusher is hard to hold.
The salary cap will be his demise
'Cause they cannot afford his pay.
They no longer need him, and though it is sad,
He's going to ride away.
Jerry Jones says that Emmitt's no longer a Cowboy.
He won't play for Dallas, his time there is through.
Surely someone else needs ol' 22!
Jerry Jones says that Emmitt's no longer a Cowboy.
They surely will miss him, they already are.
Texas is missing a star.
Emmitt likes being a winner and clear Monday mornings,
Making the playoffs and Super Bowl trophies in sight.
Them that hate Dallas don't like him, and Dallas fans
Sometimes don't know how to take him.
He ain't done, he's just leaving, and somewhere he's gonna
Catch passes and run to daylight.

I thought no one who reads Amiright had ever heard of this song; I wrote a parody to it, but it was a tad on the political side--anyhow, I like yours.
Royce, I think everyone more or less knows OF it, but not many actully know how the verses go...that might be the problem
