Original Song Title:

"Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner"

Original Performer:

Warren Zevon

Parody Song Title:

"Roland the Hopeful Seat Encumbent"

Parody Written by:

Patrigo

The Lyrics

A tribute to Warren Zevon's 1978 hit relating to Rod Blagojevich's recent scandal.
Blago was a governor,
from the Garden of the West,
With a Senate seat for sale,
Obama, dispossessed.
The deal was made in Rockford,
on a dark and windy day,
so he set off for Chicago,
to plot his masquerade.

(Roland the hopeful seat encumbent)

Through Christmas break and New Year's, they fought the Senate war,
Engaged in a losing struggle, just like Al Gore,
For days and nights they battled, Patrick to his knees,
They lobbied to earn their living, and to piss off Harry Reid.

My brother clued me in on the original song. You have changed the theme from a man without a head to one without a brain.
