| Parody Song Title: | "Talkin' Bout The Constitution" |
| Parody Written by: | Ryan Quinn |
It's another sad one by me, why do I do these?
Way to go, they're talking about the constitution, now,
Whisper,
It's for show; they're talking about the constitution, now,
Whisper,
While they're running for their senate seats,
Knocking on the screen doors of the faceless sea of voters,
Take our time, but will unemployment rise?
Every side wants my complete devotion,
Once again, they're talking about the constitution, wow,
Useless,
Rich people with their hands out, where's our share?
Poor people that can't rise up, imposed fear,
All I want to do is run run run run run run run run run run run run,
I wish that I could just run run run run run run run run run run run run,
At the expense of culture, the melting pot churns,
They talk about the constitution,
At the expense of freedom, the melting pot burns,
They talk about the constitution,
Oh no,
Shut up about the constitution,
Oh no,
Stop cutting off the welfare cheques,
We're crying at your doorstep for a solid year of freedom,
See the signs in the unemployment lines,
Standing around, dreaming about promotion,
You can't stop, talking about the constitution, sir,
Shudder,
You see the face of slavery when Uncle Sam turns,
I've heard about the constitution,
You see the face of hunger when Liberty turns,
I know about the constitution,
Oh no,
Stop defending with the constitution,
Oh no,
An outdated constitution,
Oh no.
Whisper,
It's for show; they're talking about the constitution, now,
Whisper,
While they're running for their senate seats,
Knocking on the screen doors of the faceless sea of voters,
Take our time, but will unemployment rise?

yeah, there you go.

Outdated? Because it doesn't have a right to government handouts in it?
Riddle is right. There might be problems with the government; but they don't result from having an outdated constitution, they result from deviating from it.
Actually, it DOES have a right to government handouts in it. In the very first sentence: "...promote the general welfare..." It's not the Constitution that's outdated, it's the views of the fascists who swore to "preserve, protect and defend" it and instead have expressed themselves excretorially on it. Or, as The Last President (so far), Bill Clinton, once said of a far lesser offender, "I don't think Senator Dole is too old to be President. It's the age of his ideas that I question."
True, but too many people treat the Constitution like a father figure, checking it before doing anything, even if it's for the good of the people.
