The Lyrics

Oh, I love Italian food, it tastes so good
Man, I like to savor that fine aroma
When I smell a pizza pie, my, oh, my
I cannot resist, I must buy a whole one

Sprinkle cheese on top, will ya pop? Like it grated fine
Checkered tablecloth, hanging vines; have a little wine
Oh, my, smells so fine, ahhh
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma

Garlic and oregano, well, there you go
nasals filled with basil now I am floating
Clams with calamari sauce; it sure tastes boss
Maybe with a little wine from Sonoma

Bring me some more sauce, will ya boss? little bit more wine
Fill my wine glass up; thanks so much, sure am feeling fine
Fine, fine, fine, so fine, yo!
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma

Hey, how about some spaghetti, if you please?
Sauce? Maybe today I'll try marinara
Wait, maybe some extra cheese, yes, extra cheese
Now please take an order to go, take home-a

Eating; cannot stop, think I'm gonna pop, when I dine
on Italian food, I don't mind, ' cause I'm feeling fine
Fine, fine, fine, sublime, yeah!
Fi-fi-fi-fi-fi-fi-fi-fine, dine, it's so sublime, whoa!
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma
Fi-fi-fi-fine aroma

------ lead guitar instrumental part ------

Whoa-ohh, fine aroma
Sub-lime, I know, ahh
Yeah, take some home-a

Loved the parody! I can totally relate, since I love Italian food, and I am Italian. Fives across-a the board!

Molto bene! Yes, Weird Al did a food parody to this song too...but yours caters, no pun intended, to a more refined audience. 5's all round!

Salute Paolo. Dov'e il vino? Fine work here, Paul. I must say you captured the spirit of that wonderful food here in this parody.

2nz - Yeah, but I settled for canned Beef Ravioli instead of going out for that slice of pizza - but I must say in all fairness that it was actually pretty tasty (better than I remember from the last time I ate anything from Mr. Boy-ar-dee, about 25 years ago probably) - and I made a nice, big green salad and added black olives and then shaved some mozarrella cheese on top of it. alvin, yeah...for a piece like this it's a lot of fun to double(triple/quadruple)-check the pacing - thanks again to all here.

In the Dr. Demento days of '75-80 when I was just starting to do this, the Doc commented on his show how amazing that this song inspired four parodies. (One of them being "My Trombon-a") All of us back then did not envision a site like this where four parodies of one song is just a start.

2Eagle - Thanks! Rick D - Oh, man, that really takes me back in time..DR. DEMENTO! As I've mentioned before we used to listen to him WAY back in the early 70's. Yeah, I would never have predicted or even thought about a place like this...heck, I could never have envisioned me sitting here at home typing things that could be read by folks around the entire world within a few minutes. Dang! I'm old...
