saturday night, i was downtown
workin' for the f.b.i.
someone had been killed by bad men
they said it happened last july
bulldozin' started on the west side
and her body showed 'fore too long
just about to call up the d.a. man
cause the evidence was gettin' real strong

this dame was victimized
now, she's drawin' some flies
my stomach is startin' to rise
she was a long dead woman in a black dress
now, it looks like this case has been solved
i took one look...she was a bad mess
cause her facial features had dissolved

i saw her on a cold steel table
the morgue was now her habitat
the toe tag read "jane doe", on the label, boy
cause her kinfolk just don't know where she's at
its just another case of violence
the autopsy's already begun
at last they pulled her off that table
and they said that she'd been killed by a gun
