Parody Song Title:

"Will The Mourner's Come?"

Parody Written by:

Paul Robinson

Using the 'Dead for a graveyard parody here...FYI - Another OS from the 'Dead's fine "American Beauty" album of 1970.
Will the mourner's come?
I said to my wife
Gary was a bum
most folks did not like
What will be displayed
when they don't come out
they had no respect
for that lousy lout

Man, that would be screwed
No one mourns this dude
Not one person mourns
Man, that is cheesy
Turnout; real measly
Gary was sleazy

Now we lay him down
in a box of pine
have to do without
mourner's; no one's cryin'
Not one tear shed
no one blew their nose
as we lay his ass
down into this hole

Gary screwed his friends
never made amends
Now he's in the ground
No more deceiving
No more misleading
Nobody's grieving

Gary borrowed dough
he did not repay
Never seemed to know
that he'd pay someday
He'd take and take
But he never did give
then the other day
well, he took a 'shiv'

Gary's one dead dude
self he did delude
He's a dead man now
Yes, he is deceased
covered with green wreath
He has been released

He's a dead man
(no one is grieving)
A real dead man
('cause of his thieving)
Made his bed, man
(result; not pleasing)
Life he led, damned
(Bad web; his weaving)

That's a good one, Paul. Despite the subject, it was catchy. 5's

Thanks, alvin...you know, I originally chose the name "Jerry"...just a "Generic Jerry"...seemed an easy fit...but I didn't want anyone to somehow associate it with Jerry Garcia...

Excellent work, Paul. What you said about the OS flowing is dead on (no pun intended) and, this flows right along with it. 555
