The Lyrics

cluckin' my chicks tucked in
they're cluckin'...i'm the chicken man
together...on this farm of mine
just keep cluckin' on

dozens of breeds...and they're scratchin' for feed
with their clawed feet
meat on the drumsticks is dark
but the breast's full of white meat
they're eatable critters evolved from historical bird things
eat 'em up...along with some onion rings

palates...find the taste so keen
roosters...are chose for bein' lean
no pork ! ...that's really too obscene
we just want chickadees...ho ho

most of the pets that you see on this street
are of course, loved
most treated kind...they're sittin' so pretty at home
all of my pets...they know they're gonna be goin'
bloody with gore...and sold with their flesh all deboned

cluckin' the chicken man
folks tell me that mine's their favorite brand
sometimes...they serve 'em up with yams
then they just chow 'em down

sometimes the white meat's finer to me
other times, its for dark, i plea
lately, its been birds for me
can't go wrong...with chicken skins

what in the world ever became of free range
they roamed the know, it isn't the same
lookin' for we've been feedin' 'em, whole grain
all a guy can stay in the game

cluckin' to roost, they go
cluckin'...they really smell, ya know
takes hatch an embryo
they just keep cluckin' on

sittin' and starin'...out of the hen house window
start to flip...foxes have snuck in again
they'd like to kill some chicks before they scramble
but if you got a shotgun...i guess you'll wanna butt in

blasted...hear that shotgun's din
shot up...what a mess, they're in
knocked down...these beasts are scared and thin
and they just want to flee...ho ho

these birds been hangin' around, but its time to travel
got tired of raisin' 'em...i wanna move to town
i guess that i don't mind they'll all be dyin'
i'll quit cause i'm bored...i'll get out and be city bound

sometimes the white meat's finer to me
other times, its for dark, i plea
lately, its been birds for me
can't go wrong...with chicken skins

cluckin' ?...not in my home
whoa whoa,, they don't belong
this mine to have alone
without no cluckin' hens

hey more cluckin' hens
hey more cluckin' hens
hey more cluckin' hens
