| Parody Written by: | Alvin Rhodes |
...as in eisenhower...
oh, what a dwight
army member back in '43
fought the war so we could all be free
as i remember...what a dwight
oh, what a dwight
you knew that he would surely rise to fame
and life for him would never be the same
what a mamie...what a dwight
oh i...found him so appealing
when in politics, he zoomed
oh my...i was enthralled
as he kept us all from doom
oh, what a dwight
re-elected...reselected, he
sure was everything we thought he'd be
fearless leader...what a dwight
we didn't fret...that the country would go under
we were all safe and sound...and could not be torn asunder
oh, what a dwight
oh, i...found my head a-reelin'
when his deep bass voice would boom
oh my...he sure stood tall
when our enemies would loom
oh, what a dwight
we all knew that we were safe from fright
things went wrong but ike would set them right
what a mamie...what a dwight
we didn't fret...that the country would go under
we were all safe and sound...and could not be torn asunder
oh, what a dwight
who ?...who who who who ?...who who who ?
oh what a dwight
who ?...who who who who ?...who who who ?
oh what a dwight
who ?...who who who who ?...who who who ?
oh what a dwight

Let me guess you found this one somewhere... beyond the tee. How can you do an Ike parody and not mention his golf obsession?
In retrospect, I'm likin' Ike more and more. Like the parody too.
thanks michael...oh what a dwight....see the golf ball flyin' off the tee....par is four but he connects in three...what a golfer...what a dwight...ok ?......thanks john....he wasn't bad for a republican
Thank you for the lesson in ancient history -A.
thanks 2eagle....he was president till i was 5
I like Ike parody! Esp. switch "lady/night" to "mamie/Ike" ... great touch, alvin, and great spoof of inane OS. He was POTUS till you were 5-55.
thanks TT
