The Lyrics

All alone sitting in the living room
And the bright lights have almost gone dim
I was thinking 'bout Ron Howard who's ashamed
Some people had hated him

You know I've always saw this sitcom (not Mary Tyler Moore)
And there is nothing strange (Small Wonder's ratings soar)
But something I've imagine
Is that the Andy Griffith show will never be the same

Please don't turn off the tv
Now what's on your mind?
I'm watching Andy Griffith all the time

You're getting too much of Sergeant Bilko
He says "You'll never be getting rich."
I cannot stand this Phil Silvers
Not a single glitch

And when you're looking for some sitcoms (nobody seems to care)
That are totally bored (some loved it anywhere)
Some hated Three's Company
We'll you're coming back,you're jumping back
You're coming back for more

Can't you ignore the tv?
Are you color blind?
Kept watching Andy Griffith all the time

This is my favorite sitcom
Nothing's left behind
Watching Andy Griffith all the time

This song needs a girdle. Some folks might not know these days what a girdle is, becauase now we have anorexia and Obesity Acceptance. My mother was two pounds overweight but she wore a girdle til she died (at 86) and always looked terrific. Anyway what I am saying is that you've got a lot here and have you thought about doing a Suite Judy Blue Eyes thing with it, which would be three girdles around one song.

I think the Pyle brothers wrote this one. Or maybe Otis.
