never dug rush but it was hard not to hear them anyway... geddy was indeed the sibling to alvin , theodore and simon....my dog tells me that there are notes geddy sings that only canines can hear.....nice job on the parody

I'm Rush-challenged, but I liked this.
I loved every word of it. I always hated Rush and couldn't believe my friends bought their records, and it was all because of Geddy Lee's awful strangled chipmunk voice. You could not have voiced my feelings any better - great parody!
Good parody, I hate Rush. They'd be so much better if it weren't for Geddy Lee's horrible voice.

NOOO! You stole my idea! Haha that's ok. I like Rush but that guy's voice kinda irritates me. Neil Peart kicks ass at the drums though.
I grew up listening to Rush in the 80s and even then I could tell that they were not just another ordinary love+party band. I've heard their entire studio catalog and yes sometimes Geddy Lee really hit the high notes but time has softened the sharpness. Still, like Pink Floyd, Genesis, and U2, Rush has put out many albums - some better than others but all of them have something good enough to recommend a listen. I agree about "Vapor Trails" - good hard rocking stuff but the engineering/production is kinda off! It messes with your mind. Still, your parody is good and I'm glad to see you're not simply being a Rush-Basher. Critics are finally giving Rush the praise they deserve. I would rather hear Geddy Lee's "shrillness" over most "American Idol"/Pop Idol flavor of the week anyway. Geddy Lee is a great multi-instrumentalist, Alex Lifeson is killer on guitar and what all, and yes, carly_carlz, Neil Peart kicks ass at the drums because he is Neil Peart.
