The Lyrics

Who knows how long I'll stay here
With drug felony fear
Here I avoid 5 to 13
'Cause I'm hiding in Brazil.

For if they ever catch me
I'll never be the same
Lock me up with horny cellmates
Playing 'drop the towel' game.

Gonna be on the lam forever
Hiding by poppy trees
Fill my addiction, get a suntan
Maybe learn Portugeuse.

And when police break my door
I'll be high as a kite
Drag me away to the border
As I yell and cause disorder
I will bid a lovely farewell to
The place known as Brazil

Super: a great idea, well executed - just one snag: I know it's a good rhyme for "Portuguese", but *poppy trees*?

Just watch out for old Nazis hiding out in the jungle down there.

You did a lot with such a short song...and it fits the style of the song nicely. Good stuff.

I took some poetic license with 'poppy trees,' but I wanted it to be something drug-related and rhyme with portugeuse. It's not too much of a stretch, anyway, so I let it slide. Thanks for the praise, btw.

Don't worry, thayer -- people laugh at my spaghetti trees too. Enjoyed this.
