i noticed his big body flyin'
a pachyderm's hard to ignore
i thought that my eyes must be lyin'
it seemed an impossible chore
aloft, like he's light as a feather
improbably, zoomed like a jet
dumbo's up, like a bird..or a soarin' plane
such a thing's weird as it gets

most elephants live in the jungle
an not in a stratosphere zone
and just how it works, i've no answer
i just know i've seen that he's flown
we've all heard of vixen and prancer
but reindeer ain't this critter's kin
yet he acts like a plane...ain't no way to explain
he loops and he veers and he spins
