The Lyrics

This idea just kinda hit my like lightning. Not completely historically accurate, but fin to write anyway.
Rockin' and a rollin'
Splishin' and a splashin'
Over the horizon
What can it be?

The Germans rule the sea in early 1941
On Battleship Bismark, they know they have the bigger gun
The British saw the German fleet and someone said, "Oh dear...
Better call the Navy in, because they've put us on the run!"

Sailors were missing all their family
But during this time of war, they know they cannot flee
"Gonna fight the Germans in the ocean,
Yeah we're gonna fight them night and day
Yeah I've go my tin hat and my rifle
So I think I'm ready to go play."

Britain sent ships you know, sent over B-boats one by one.
And one by one they sank until the sinking of the sun
Every time, the Germans came, someone said "Oh no!
I don't know what they got o'er there,
But it's like we're sitting on death row!"

They sank HMS Hood, it barely offered any fight
The Prince of Wales damaged ran until it was out of sight
(That started, great upising within the British Naval Command,
A big pisser)
But with success back in Germany,
Hitler said, Good job, sir."

It even has the nerve to go for hit and run
Well Bismark, let me say that tactic is no fun
We're gonna show you, what we think, we're gonna chase you down!
And we'll keep firing until, a good 2-K of your men drown.

We wanted no more fearful Bismark
We chased it down and found it stuck up in the like the ark.
Time to sink the Bismark, now today boys, yeah we're gonna launch an attack today
And let me tell you we're gonna win boys, at least to God it's what I pray

Sink the Bismark (show no mercy)
The Bismark (It's sank too many of our ships)
The Bismark (We're gonna sink it down)
The Bismark (No one's gonna threaten Great Britain anymore!)

Rockin' and a rollin'
Splishin' and a splashin'
Over the horizon
What can it be?
Not the Bismark for it's under the sea!
Spacing I won't lie once again is iffy, but it doesn't help that I wrote it at 2 in the morning...

Nice- 555!!! Some petty mistakes historically, but good enough for a parody. I haven't done one with the Kriegsmarine surface ships yet, just U-boats. What is sad is that the Kriegsmarine's greatest feat was not sinking Allied ships, but the 1945 evacuation of E Prussia where what remained moved 2.2 million troops and civilians West in the face of the Soviet juggernaut. Makes the Dunkirk evacuation look petty by comparison...

Sensei - Good telling. If not for a one chance in a milion torpedo hit on Bismarck's rudder by Ark Royal's Swordfish aircraft, the story may have been different. ;D

I once met Bruno Rzonca, one of the last survivors of the Bismarck. He lived in the United States after the war. Don't suppose there are many survivors left. The evacuation of East Prussia resulted in the loss of several large passenger ships, of which the Wilhelm Gustloff was the most famous. There was a second liner torpedoed, with thousands of deaths, two or three times the loss of the Titanic, and no one remembers its name. Did anyone ever make a movie about the Gustloff?

I'm doing No More Kings in my production, and this is almost perfect pace! Genius!
