A parody tribute to Popeye. The original song "Best I Can" is from Rush's "Fly By Night" album.
I gots a voice that's reall gruff, a pipe that I puff
I'm a merchkant marine
Anchors on forearms, muscles thicker than yardarms
And one eye that's unseen
You can tells me that I gots no classk
Well, blow me down! I'll just keelhaul your assk
That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more
Gets off me ship and swim back to shore
Gots a liking for spinachk, I'm strong to the finichk
I'm a fighting machine
Gots a favorite goil, her name's Olive Oyl
And a Jeep named Eugene
Me Pappy's a drunk, always sneaks from his bunk
To find a sleazy saloon
Me antagonists: Sea Hag, Brutus
And sometimes Alice the Goon
I yam a sailor man
I yam just what I yam
I yam a sailor man
Well, I yam what I yam
Doesnk't needs GPS, got a sextant and compass
For my navigashkun
I'm at home on the sea, excuse the hell outta me
For my pronunskiashkun
I'm a merchkant marine
Anchors on forearms, muscles thicker than yardarms
And one eye that's unseen
You can tells me that I gots no classk
Well, blow me down! I'll just keelhaul your assk
That's all I can stands, I can't stands no more
Gets off me ship and swim back to shore
Gots a liking for spinachk, I'm strong to the finichk
I'm a fighting machine
Gots a favorite goil, her name's Olive Oyl

That's digging in the archives! You left out a good bit of the song, and the pacing (while difficult), is off. But any RUSH parody is good in my book.
Thanks. But I didn't leave out any of the song, just left out the repeating pre-chorus verse. Because, like, it repeats itself. I got more where this came from, too.
The pacing was very close, and I see what you mean about the repeating, so I'll let that go since McKludge beat me to it. . .but pretty good "Doppelbock"
