Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

Robert Lund

Parody Song Title:

"Oops! Uranus Again (Again)"

Parody Written by:

A Room Full Of Monkeys

The Lyrics

Just trying to stretch
Gotta squeeze just one more from "Uranus"
More or less

We're having fun with
Just relax; it's relatively painless
That's my guess

"Uranus!" "Uranus!"
Who really
Can blame us?
Uranus blows us a-waay

I'm not gonna plug
Wanna find it? Go look up "Uranus"
It's around

Just sticking up for
Everyone take good care of "Uranus"
When they pound

"Uranus!" "Uranus!"
Don't beat us! Don't maim us!
"Uranus" is here

Well done again, my simian friend, here's your 555 bananas.

I'm staying away from the "Annie/Tomorrow" motif for "Uranus" ..... so I can pursue various branches from this main thread, like my "Uranus" parody of "Dream Weaver" .... hmmm.... could it be time to branch-off once again? Hmmm... hmmm.....

It's famous,
So please to explain this,
What did Spaffer start that day?

Well done sir or madam monkey person.

Okay! Okay! I did it!

I just submitted, for the next posting, a parody of Fleetwood Mac's song "Don't Stop (Thinking About Tomorrow)".

My parody's title? What else could it be?

"Don't Stop (Thinking About Uranus)"

Uranus parodies are just like buttholes. Everyone's got one! It's not just a spoof. It's a tapeworm!

I just listened to Lund's mp3 of Uranus...commercial hit quality .... I think spaff and Lund (who I suspect are the same person) should team up and send this masterpiece to as many radio stations (clear channel comes to mind) as possible and make themselves the next al Yankovic!!!! - April 14, 2004 - Report this comment
Careful, there - you should never let Monkeys get near Uranus! Heh heh. Nice one, C4P. Fave line: "Go look up 'Uranus.'"

Thanx, Laudanum. I actually did send it to Dr. Demento and a few DJ's, and RL said he was going to send it to Bob & Tom, but I haven't heard anything back. Apparently Uranus is not to everyone's taste.

Hey, I was just thinking if somebody wrote a parody of Britney Spears's now cliched song, "Oops, I Did it Again", with the same title... (gets hit in the face with a tomato) Oh wait, that was the purpose of this title, never mind.

Hey spaff you're awesome man. Keep up the good work. - June 07, 2004 - Report this comment
ChrisDuhhhFer: Thanx, but I believe the blame for this one belongs with Claude 4 Prez. You gotta love the way he handles "Uranus."

Seeing as it's just gone past the sun today, do you reckon there'll be a transit of Venus past Uranus sometime soon?
